Cast Tile
I love making cast tile because it allows me to share
my ideas with more people. I use an Earthenware slip
cast in molds made from my original carvings. The
tradition of tile making intrigues me because it
offers a window into different histories through
time. Commonplace in many areas of the world, people
have employed it to tell the story of what they
believe and what their daily lives consist of.
Respectfully, I continue in that tradition.
My tile is appropriate for interior wall installation
and limited outdoor wall installation. It should not
be installed in an area where it will get wet and
freeze continuously. The bright, multicolored glazes
are highly translucent and durable, however the tile
should not be installed on the inside of food storage
containers or on a floor.
Also, each tile includes a hanging impression on the
back so it can be hung on the wall as a picture would
be, using a nail or screw.
Dimensions are all in inches.
